What is a Pipe Flashing?

Sinks, toilets, tubs, and showers all need to take in air to displace water. They do this through pipes in your walls. These pipes exit through the roof in 1 1/2 inch, 2 inch, or 3 inch diameter pipes. They are flashed with lead or a metal hard rubber sealed neoprene.
When a pipe flashing fails, water will find its way into your home and can cause leaks and water damage.
